Wow this puts into words what my current attitude towards my work is. I’m just coming back to my job as an IT consultant after more than a year’s leave. I live very frugally and have a few other streams of income, so I didn’t think I’d go back until I got a call to join a short term project. As much as I love complete freedom, it’s nice to loosen my budget a tad and actually buy some nice things that I’ve wanted for awhile but didn’t absolutely need. But even better, because of my minimalist lifestyle, I only need to work a traditional job for as long as I want to, and that’s also a good feeling. Great piece!
